Built on local knowledge.
Scheduled data is adapted from the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning GTFS Schedule, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Time to Board filters and compacts Metro train, Melbourne tram, metropolitan bus and V/Line train services into an on-device timetable. Replacement buses and route geometry are excluded.
Live predictions for Metro trains, trams and metropolitan buses, and train and tram vehicle positions and service alerts, use Transport Victoria GTFS Realtime feeds. The DataVic catalogue lists this dataset under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Time to Board filters and matches this information to selected services. V/Line remains scheduled-only.
The city, train, calendar and feature illustrations are original AI-assisted artwork prepared for Time to Board. App screenshots are genuine captures from an earlier build, when Time to Board was named Next Trip, and show sample transport data. The widget setup images show the in-app guide.
Maps and place search are provided by Apple MapKit. Map attribution is retained in the app captures.
Web interface icons use Lucide; licence notices are included locally. The app icon uses Time to Board’s original city, train and location-pin artwork.
The interactive miniature city is built with Three.js, served locally under its MIT licence. Its buildings, tracks, waterways and vehicles are procedural 3D geometry. The city is an illustrative neighbourhood, not a map of actual stop locations.
Web controls use Material Web under its Apache 2.0 licence. Button icons are rendered from lucide-react; its licence is included.
Time to Board is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Transport and Planning or Public Transport Victoria.
